It is possible. See the approval letter below. Does this happen all the time? No. When Sellers do receive compensation at closing it is generally between $750-$3,000. Post by John Boles Sounds like good news right? The numbers are down in line with some of the seasonal trends we have seen in the last few years. While some folks may be saying this is the sign we have hit or are nearing bottom; folks are still going into default, banks are still foreclosing, there is shadow inventory that needs dealt with so we have still have plenty of snow available to keep that snowball growing or at least maintaining its size. This is my Broker (who also happens to be my father). My husband and my dad work with a lot of short sale sellers here in Ada and Canyon Counties and both have very high close ratios. They don't try to have the most listings possible and hope that some of them close, though between the two of them they usually have 15-30 short sale listings at a time. He was frustrated that my buyers chose to follow our contract and go through the inspection contingency period- which includes the option for the buyer to ask for repairs - and the agent was mad that we provided an inspection contingency addendum.
