distress sales: Active Military being turned down by GMAC in short sale -- this is just wrong! - 07/13/10 02:21 PM
My sister is married to an active member of the military (Coast Guard).  They are being redeployed from Pennsylvania to Texas.
They just moved to Texas right after they accepted an offer on their home.  Like so many others, this is a short sale.
GMAC, the only lender, turned down the short sale because they are not behind in their payments.
Denying an active member of the military should be a crime.  Any input?  ideas?  ways to get the media on GMAC for doing this?
