Phoenix Holds 19th Annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony The city of Phoenix held its 19th annual 9/11 memorial ceremony at the Phoenix Fire Training Academy. Normally held at Phoenix City Hall, the ceremony was closed to the public but was livestreamed on the city's and police department's Facebook pages aside from PHX TV (Cox 11/CL 8005). City, police and fire officials observed social distancing while wearing masks during the event. Nearly 3,000 eight foot tall American Flags were erected by volunteers to honor the memories of those we've lost on that fateful day seventeen years ago.
