Thankful Thursday is about all the great outdoor activities we have here in the Murphy NC mountains - no matter what season it is. Being surrounded by so many Lakes, Rivers and Creeks throughout the western NC, north GA and east TN mountains provides unlimited choices to enjoy the surrounding pristine nature.
Hiking and tubing has always been some of our favorites, but Fly Fishing looks like something we might want to try some day too.

When are our Murphy NC property taxes due for 2014? Q: Oh no! We haven’t gotten a tax bill for our new home here in the mountains yet. When are our Murphy, NC property taxes due for 2014? A: Real property taxes are paid “in arrears” and are due September 1 of each year. This means you won’t be getting your property tax bill until September of 2014 and have until January 5, 2015 to pay without interest.
