Every Saturday we are graced with a WONDERFUL Farmer's Market full of fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade jams and jellies and local crafts in Historic Downtown Wake Forest! It is a fantastic time to get out, enjoy the weather and a cup of delicious coffee from the Wake Forest Coffee Company! Wow, school starts Monday (for traditional students) and you can tell! Things started slowing down a little - I guess we have to be sure the kids are in bed a little earlier and all of our mornings start a little earlier! Don't let that fool you! September will start our fairs and festivals and roll us right into the Holiday Season......get prepared! I see school supplies galore in the stores, the latest school fashions are up in most stores and I have actually heard the whines of bored kids ready to go back to school! Wow - what a fantastic past week this has been in Wake Forest! There was certainly something for EVERYONE! Last week was a little quiet with all the preparations for the spectacular Fourth of July event coming up. School is out (traditional schools) and the kids were EVERYWHERE! The Holding Park Pool, the skateboard park at The Factory, Jelly Beans, etc. This week is just as low key - the calm before the storm so to speak!
