Sun City Grand home sales was as brisk as the weather is hot. It's still a seller's market! 40 homes sold and closed escrow in July 2019. This compares to 41 homes closed in July 2018. Price per sq ft has increased by 4.2%.
In July 2019 home sale price was between $133,000 to $600,000. The Palo Verde and Borgata models remain the two most popular floor plans. Homes listed under $300,000 are selling the fastest.

At the recommendation of a client I visited Uptown Alley, the new bowling center in Surprise. There's more than bowling happening in the center. I feel that it resembles a Las Vegas entertainment center especially designed for youngsters and adults. Even though it was only their 3rd day of operation, the word has obviously gotten out to the community; the place was packed.

The only thing that is HOT in Surprise, is real estate! The daytime temperature is typically in the 70's, considerably warmer than other states. If you are driving to Sun City West Sun City Grand or Surprise AZ from the airport or East Valley, the newest and best route is NOW OPEN! Yes..... I-17 now goes from Happy Valley Road directly to Sun City West and Surprise Arizona. OK - so there IS CONSTRUCTION to contend with, but after 5 years plus of waiting for a route to get to the West Valley in a fashion that is expeditious, I'm happy to see this work in progress. I've taken some photos along the way to let you see through the eyes of my camera what you will be passing.

We'll be getting 4 days of rain in the Valley of the Sun. It's been very cold with my outdoor thermometer registering 29 degrees yesterday morning and 35 degrees this morning. Even my dogs didn't want to leave the comfort of their warm bed to do their business outside.

A close friend of mine has a neice who has not only has a rare brain desease but Cones Disease as well. There is no treatment for the Cones and it will eventually lead to blindness. Her niece is a musician, cook, housekeeper, teacher, wife and mother. This disease is taking her eyesight so rapidly that she will be blind within a year. To add to her plight, her only daughter was killed in a car accident a few months ago when the car she was riding was hit by a drunk driver. Her niece treasures every sunrise and every sunset.
