realtors: Please,..... Don't Compare Us Realtors With Car Salespeople!!! - 12/20/11 06:30 AM
This blog is so true.  Not only do we have to have continuing education for our profession, but we also have to be legally responsible for the contracts and carrying out of said contracts.  So, please don't compare us with used car salesmen!
Please go and leave your comments over on Peter and Linda's post - I'm sure they will appreciate it!
Please,..... Don't Compare Us Realtors With Car Salespeople!!!
While it's common to compare real estate agents to car salespeople, they really have very little to nothing in common at all.Recently I went car shopping in Victoria BC,  and as a … (0 comments)

realtors: Why REALTORS should charge by the hour - 09/26/11 12:22 PM
Okay, so seriously, this happens because buyers get cold feet, or get told a whopper from another unscrupulous agent which just so happens to be what they buyer wanted to hear - not what the reality of the situation is.
So this post from my friend Bryan says it like it is.  I especially like his by the hour plus comission idea!  Of course, it doesn't all boil down to how much we make, but if we as agents have to be loyal and responsible to our client, who not the buyers and sellers as well?

realtors: LA VERNE REAL ESTATE MARKET WATCH - JUNE 11-17, 2011 - 06/17/11 10:44 AM

Okay, so here's this week's MARKET WATCH for the City of La Verne. It's more of the same, new listings are holding their own, seven went into escrow and have been marked "Backup Offers Only", and six have made it into escrow firmly as pending. Six actually made it to the SOLD file.   But once again, WOW, 14 price changes... with the quantity of homes being so low in La Verne, it seems like a huge amount where the prices have had to be lowered.  To be fair, many banks have, in the past, placed too high a value … (0 comments)

realtors: FLIP A HOUSE INSTEAD OF PANCAKES - OR - IS IT A GOOD TIME TO FLIP OUT? - 02/15/11 02:40 PM

Okay, so... (don't ask me why I always start with that, 'cause I'm not really sure.  But now it's a thing!) My husband is on a kick... LOVES pancakes in the morning.  His pet peeve is when we go to a restaurant with amazing pancakes and they leave them out to get cold while the rest of our breakfast cooks.  He gets impatient and sends them back! Everyone knows pancakes have simply got to be hot enough to melt the butter, etc.
I can only equate this with some of the investors in the market today.  They pick up properties and … (7 comments)
