marketing advice for real estate agents: What I learned about Home Buying from Wedding Dress Shopping - 11/07/22 04:38 AM
This weekend I went to Boston to wedding dress shop with my daughter.  The wedding is November 4, 2023, in Miami so it is time to find a dress!  Full disclosure, we set a price that was reasonable - but on the low side if you watch "Say Yes to the Dress."  We set off to shop - with Lise Courtney wearing her new jean jacket announcing her soon to be new name!   We were a party of four - my daughter, her maid of honor and best friend for twenty years, my daughter's future mother-in-law and me.

marketing advice for real estate agents: Why You Need a 'Would Sell' List and How To Build One - 11/25/16 06:24 PM
I heard  Ben Kinney  speak about a week ago in Towson Maryland and he talked about the books that his team takes to open houses with all the expired listings, the listings of for sale by owners and the would sell homes  What a powerful message when you are holding an open house and talking to a potential buyer client if you can demonstrate that you have access to dozens or hundreds of homes not on the market that would possibly match their criteria.  The expireds and FSBOs are pretty easy to put together, but the Would Sell list takes a … (15 comments)

marketing advice for real estate agents: Online and Offline Marketing | Market Like You Mean It!! - 06/03/16 09:40 PM
Summer is almost here on the calendar and certainly in DC it feels like summer. The market is starting its seasonal shift. Trying to Stay Ahead of the Crowd with Marketing
It’s actually not that difficult to stay ahead of the crowd with marketing.  The key is to do it.  No matter what it is.  I am constantly amazed by the number of Realtors and other professionals who believe they will just get … (8 comments)

Now that the weather is starting to cool off, it is time to think about door knocking again. John's got some great advice and a slightly different approach that is worth considering (and even adopting!) Thanks for a practical approach that will bring results.... if done consistently! Go out and own that farm!  If you are looking for me, I will be door knocking in Kenwood Forest, Chevy Chase, MD!
