My partner and I produce a weekly video called "Properties of the Week", we feature 3-4 properties that we feel are good buys in our local marketplace. We use viddler http://viddler.com for our video format b/c the videos sometimes go over 10 minutes and we loved their functionality. We typically get about 200-300 views a week on each show but we realized our last show was featured on viddler's home page and we have over 1k views in just 4 days. Pretty cool! This market will turn folks. Those who embrace people AND technology will make it, what am I saying "make it" you will prosper, even more than this last boom, remember there are A LOT less of us out there. People want to know that you geniunely care about their "story", if they can sense you don't care they probably won't work with you and if you don't utilitze technology you will get slammed by your competition regardless of whether your an "expert" or not. In my short 11yr career in the real estate industry I have had the pleasure (pain at times) to watch how technology has impacted the real estate community. I remember in my first year (99) the company that I worked for was still using the MLS books, they were just beginning to get on line and use MLS software. It is amazing how young the internet is and with age I believe it is only going to get better. Our industry though seems to lag a bit as we are crowd that sometimes resist change.
