home selling: Out In The Cold and Through The Snow..To Sell Your Home I Go - 11/05/12 11:04 AM
Out In The Cold and Through The Snow..To Sell Your Home I Go Aww... the time of year when the aroma of pumpkin pies fills the air, families are in town, holiday decorations go up, shopping and parties start and having your home on the market seems like a silly thing to be doing. Many sellers believe that all buyers just stop looking during the holidays and winter months and others just don't want to be 'show ready' during this time of year. These are just two of many reasons why sellers believe taking their home off the market this time … (2 comments)

home selling: Home Selling..Yes I Knew What They Wanted But.... - 09/04/12 06:45 AM
yes I knew what they wanted but I came prepared with what they needed     Pricing in today's real estate climate is tough on a Seller. And it's confusing too. Yes the market has picked up.... Yes we are in need of inventory..... But no that does not mena we can get $$$$ for your home now. Oh the unfairness of it all. I went on a listing appointment recently on a home that is not the same as the home down the street or in the neighborhood. When that happens  I do the two step listing appoinment. One to … (32 comments)

home selling: Home Selling- Yard Sale- A Great Way To Be Prepare Your Home For Sale - 05/02/11 01:27 AM
Home Selling- Yard Sale- A Great Way To Prepare Your Annapolis Area Home For Sale A few weeks back I decided that this spring was going to be the spring I was going to have a yard sale. No I am not personally selling my Annapolis area home but, like many, I do have an over abundance of 'STUFF' that just needs to find a new home. This past weekend the challenge began.I first decided on a staging area for the things I wanted to put out at the yard sale. Then I decided on my path. First closets one by one … (7 comments)

home selling: Ahhh....I love Selling Memories - 01/04/11 05:49 AM
The year is 1954. A young newly married couple took the plunge and purchased a home. The price of the home $5350. The interest rate 4.5%. Now the home was pricey and the monthly payment was going to be a whole weeks worth of income but they were determined to make a life for themselves.
A family was started in this home, as first a son and then a daughter were born. Additions to the home were added as the family grew. Memories were made with family and holiday get togethers, and friends shared in the memory making as well. Children were sent to … (5 comments)

home selling: An Active Rain Success Story...On The Waterfront Agent Luncheon - 04/22/10 06:36 AM
On The Waterfront...The Story of an Agent Luncheon powered by Active Rain It was a bright and beautiful day last Tuesday when I headed to my waterfront listing to set up for the Agent Luncheon. The tempature were just right...the sun beams danced through the huge waterfront windows and down by the waterfront glistened into a million little diamonds across the water. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.

As I pulled into the driveway with my sunroof open and inside packed with luncheon goodies I was definitely feeling quite happy. I opened the side door to the … (8 comments)

home selling: Phew!! If I'm A Full Time Agent and Going Crazy...How Does A Part Timer Do It??? - 04/12/10 03:47 PM
Phew!! If I'm A Full Time Agent and Going Crazy...How DOES A Part Timer Do It??
From the moment the bell tolled that it was 2010 I have been busy. Very busy. Most days are chocked full from morning well into the night (hmmm 11:30pm and I'm finally finding time to write this).
Now I am not complaining, thats for sure, but it made me think.... If I'm a full time agent and going crazy...how does a part timer do it??
Just keeping up with the changes in the mortgage rules, appraisal rules, the extended time frames for this paperwork, that paperwork … (20 comments)

home selling: A Listing Agreement for the Children Of The House..... - 02/24/10 04:34 PM
A Listing Agreement For The Children Of The House.....
Listing Agreements....We all use them to be able to represent a Seller in the sale of their home. Not to use one makes no sense at all. Right??? But what about the children of the house? Does a Children's Listing Agreement make sense as well??
I think they do. Especially in todays market where so many are moving under difficult circumstances a Childrens Listing Agreement is a welcome diversion to a stressful time.
I have been using one almost since I received my license. I carry them in my listing bag and each … (18 comments)

home selling: Add A Little Bit Of 'Sparkly' To Your Real Estate Closings - 10/23/09 02:37 PM
Today I was at a closing with one of my favorite agents on the other end. We had a few minutes to chat while waiting for the checks to be cut (yes we get checks to take back to our Brokers at closing!!) and the subject turned to interesting closings we have had in the past.
I mentioned one I had where I was working with a really cute first time home buyer. I had also just heard of a sweet new closing gift to give so I thought I would give it a try. The gift consisted of bringing a … (53 comments)
