In the interest of expediency and "fair use", I am reposting this entire article as seen in today's Media Bistro update.  The long term impact remains to be seen but it certainly puts copyright laws to the test.
 
A federal judge ruled in favor of a defendant who reposted an entire article in a copyright case on Monday, Wired reports. The lawsuit was brought by Righthaven, a Las Vegas-based “copyright litigation factory,” according to Wired, that has sued more than 200 websites, bloggers, and commenters for copyright infringement. If you thought you were confused about copyright issues, then it's time to see what the "professionals" have to say.  Or not. 

Countless space on Active Rain is devoted to copyright issues.  Lynn Harley in particular refers us time and time again to specific copyright law about internet content - images and words. 
This is a good thing.  For the most part we are Realtors® who write, not writers who sell real estate.  Nor are we professional editors (except for my spouse).  In other words, we are your average folks trying to get along and make a living … (8 comments)
