Huntersville, NC plans should include more homes built based on the latest projections.Projected population growth in Huntersville over the next two decades would require more than 9,000 newly built homes within the town's bulging limits, planners predict.   Slightly less than half of those homes have already been approved but not yet built in fledgling subdivisions such as Skybrook and Vermillion, as well as Bryton, the mega-development just north of the I-485/N.C. 115 interchange.  What has the minds and pencils of Huntersville planners in motion, though, are the needed 4,700 new homes to provide for the anticipated population without a development to call … (0 comments)

real estate: Snow does not discourage buyers in Lake Norman Region of Charlotte - 02/13/10 05:31 AM
Real Estate Buyers are still out there looking in the Lake Norman region of Charlotte.
Last night the Lake Norman region of Charlotte got close to 5 inches of snow. However, that did not stop people from looking at homes for sale.
I had an appointment myself this morning, but thought my clients may want to reschedule because of the wintry conditions. Not the case. They were still very anxious regardless of the road conditions.
Well, on my way to the property I noticed 2 other Realtors making their way throw the fresh snow to show property. One in my neighborhood of Stephens Grove … (5 comments)

real estate: Maximize Tax Credit - Buy Early in 2010 - 01/25/10 12:11 PM
Maximize Tax Credit and Buy Early in 2010.
After meeting with a recent client looking to possibly rent or sell her property I wanted to do a little more research on the tax credit that is expiring in April. If you have decided to become a homeowner in 2010, then consider doing it as early in the year as possible, because delay has another drawback in addition to the risk of losing out on the first-time buyer credit.
For every day that passes after January 1, you will find it harder to take full advantage of the tax benefits during your first … (0 comments)
