October is fire prevention month...Chandler Fire and the National Fire Prevention Association want to remind you to "Prevent Home fires." This I did not know...we were gone over the weekend and yep, you guessed it, one of our fire alarms was going to town...it was time to change the batteries. J Fire Departments responded to nearly 400,000 home fires in the year 2006. The National Fire Prevention Association has a list on their web-site on how to inspect your home for fire risks along with other vital information.
