There are many lenders who have stopped taking loan applications for the Rural Development loan due to the limited funds left for the 2010 Fiscal Year. There are currently $2.645 Billion in available funds for the program. However time is running out! Funds should be exhausted in the next 4-5 weeks Homestar is STILL taking applications and closing using this great loan program and we will continue to until funds are exhausted. This question seems to be on everyone's minds these days. Fortunately down payment assistance is still in our playbook for mortgage financing for now, which is usually the way most deals are done these days with the FHA program.VA also is a good way to go...but only if you have military service in your history.
