Sugar Land is getting more retail: Burlington Stores & Kirksland's Stores April 28, 2016 Burlington revealed their plans to open a new 50,000 sf store in Sugar Land at Telfair. The location will be at the University Commons Shopping Center at University Blvd and US Highway 59 next to Costco. The store is scheduled to open in Spring 2017. University Commons is expected to be a 160,000 sf retail development on 14.73 acres of prime commercial property. Construction on the project is underway. Houston's Showhouse Showdown on HGTV HGTV visted Houston to film a new upcoming series set to start this month called Showhouse Showdown. Two local interior designers decorated identical homes to compete provided by Meritage Homes in the Fall Creek Community. You can tour the houses at 14011 Robbie Creek and 13911 Robbie Creek. The homes are now available for sale furnished and decorated. Each designer had a budget of $50,000 and three days to design five rooms in the homes, including the kitchen, master bedroom and living room. The popular establishment is now located inside of Wel-Farm Supermarket next door.
