Whilst I love the homes in Main Street Village in Chesterbrook, PA, they are Victorian in style, spacious and well liked by owners. Here location is everything. This development is situated very close to the PA turnpike and the noise can be loud depending exactly where you are situated, especially with the proposed widening of the turnpike.

Wawa seems to be inspecting the old Eckerd property on Lancaster Ave in Berwyn to see if they might be able to open a Wawa Gas station and store on the site. The site on the corner with Bridge and Lancaster Avenue in the heart of Berwyn would be a high visibility site and location that has been empty for a long time.
Tests seem to be underway, however they have not as yet according to sources made any approach to Easttown township for permission.

How are you processing your short sales? When is it under contract?
When you receive an offer and forward to your sellers' banks are you marking these properties under contract in your MLS? As brokers are you processing checks or waiting for bank approval?
When do you consider the home is under contract? Whilst banks are supposed to be speeding the processing of short sales through their systems I am finding that it still takes a long time to get any answers. If you ever want somewhere in Berwyn that feels like a secret park and that is quiet, the Frank Johnson Memorial Park is the place.
Located at the end of Bridge Street, opposite the playing fields behind the old school buildings and library this place is a little gem. Today is the Surrey Services for Seniors annual gala, themed as a Block Party it will be held at a local country club Waynesborough Country Club to raise funds for this worthwhile charity which helps seniors to age in place and remain in their own homes as long as possible.

Trudy and Istopped by the Royal Tea House this afternoon in Berwyn and met the owner Eileen Hoban. What used to be the Berwyn Coffee Shop has been transformed into a tea lovers haven or even heaven. Upper Providence Township in Delaware County is holding a meeting next week to disucss raising the Real Estate Transfer Tax by 0.5% making it the highest suburban Philadelphia Transfer Tax. In a recent article in the Main Line Suburban Life Chris Polites this years chairman of the Easttown Board of Supervisors put a call out to citizens who live and work in Easttown to give advice on the township budget. There were 23 sales in Old Forge Crossing in 2009, 6 more than 2008, about the same as the 24 in 2007 but way off the high of 50 homes in 2006. The homes selling were a mixture of one and two bedroom units and several one bedrooms with dens along with one townhouse in the community.
