Last Sunday me and a group of friends spent the day in Gloucester, were we went to enjoy a Whale Watch trip. There were 11 of us and while sitting on the curb, waiting for the time to leave, we shared snacks and drinks, jokes and laughs, then the time came and we enjoyed a magnificent day on the Hurricane - from Cape Ann Whale Watch, with the whales giving us a private show (at least that is how it felt - I have over 250 pics to prove it...), then we went to get ice cream and sit on the beach to chat before coming back home.

There's a reason we often take the path most traveled: Seeing all the footprints on the well-trodden road creates the illusion of certainty, especially when many are your own.
We feel safe because is familiar You know what's at the end; you've been there before. You know how to get there, so you don't need to pay too much attention to your steps or the details along the way. You can just kind of put yourself on auto-pilot and go.
But there's something kind of ironic about living on auto-pilot.
