It has been a few weeks since the fire and now I am finally able to talk about it. There is so much to learn from having a major fire in a house you own. When that property is a rental house there is even more. I am thankful that my tenant and his young daughter were not home at the time of the fire but I am so sorry that their dog perished due to the smoke and heat from the fire. Frustration is commonplace in real estate today. As real estate professionals we are dealing with many hurdles to get every deal through to the closing table. If it is not an appraisal problem it might be a different mortgage issue. If it is not a glitch in title work it might be a problem with the certificate of occupancy. I admit it, I love to help people. There are few things more satisfying to me than to help with a project, talk someone through a problem, or to work with a buyer to find and obtain the perfect property for their needs. Because of my passion for helping I find myself in difficult spots sometimes. You see in becoming a real estate professional I went to classes and took tests to be licensed that I paid for.
