realtor diary: Dueling Pianos. . . Can a Baby Grand Delay Closing?

My clients and I were on the hunt for a home large enough to accommodate their baby grand piano. After viewing a dozen or so homes, we found "the one". We knew it would accommodate the piano because the seller already had one in the formal dining room. The offer was written and accepted. My clients house was under contract so this would be a back-to-back closing.
Things got interesting on closing day. . .
At 8:00 a.m. we learned that the sellers daughter couldn't pick up the piano before closing. No worries; my clients said they could pick it up later in the week. A piano mover was scheduled for 9:00 (18 comments)
realtor diary: Realtor Accidentally Showed The Wrong House . . . It Happens

An owner was in process of preparing their home for sale. It was weeks away from being completed. Meanwhile, an out-of-town buyer was anxious to see the house through another agent. I scheduled a showing with the explicit understanding that the house wasn't quite ready as the seller was taking care of several deferred maintenance items and boxing up excess clutter.
Since the home technically hadn't hit the market, there was no sign or lock box. The seller agreed to leave the front door unlocked at the designated time for the Realtor and her clients to gain access.
