Hi folks, Temple Schneider Callahan here, Owner / Broker of Connect Real Estate Services..Operating here locally in Ventura County; helping Ventura County's BEST home buyers and home sellers. Today I want to tell you about, "What is Dual Agency?" Dual agency is when the Seller's Agent, also known as the Listing Agent, also represents the Buyer in a real estate transaction. [Buyer's Agent's please don't hate me] I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that using a buyer's agent is not always ideal, all the time.
In some circumstances, such as a multiple offer situation, the easiest way to get favor with the seller is to make your best offer with the seller's agent.
