According to Realty Trac, Inc. There were 19,649 foreclosure filings in Florida in April of 2011. That works out to be 1 in every 451 homes and represents a slight decrease over March 2011. Although a decrease is a good sign, it may only be temporary.From my understanding the Banks and The Department of Housing and Urban Development have all agreed that 2011 will be the year they push through with most of the pending foreclosures that have been held up due to title issues, faulty assignments and moratoriums. The increasing number of foreclosure filings are further evidence that the housing crisis is not over. According to Realty Trac, Inc. There were 743 foreclosure filings in Tampa Florida in April of 2011. That works out to be 1 in every 462 homes and represents a 25% increase over March 2011. While this may be better than the national average, a 25% increase is very alarming. The increasing number of foreclosure filings are further evidence that the housing crisis is not over.
