Gaithersburg Hispanic Heritage Month
At its meeting on September 16, the Mayor and City Council proclaimed September 15 to October 15 as Hispanic Heritage Month in Gaithersburg and presented the proclamation to Lisette Dardon, Program Manager at Identity, Inc., a nonprofit organization that will be helping to ensure a complete count in Census 2020. In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Multicultural Affairs Committee presents an exhibit by The Latino Art League of Greater Washington DC through October 28 at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park. The League supports local artists and builds bridges with Latin American communities overseas.

Gaithersburg Hispanic Heritage Month
At its meeting on September 17, 2018 the Mayor and City Council proclaimed September 15 to October 15 as Hispanic Heritage Month in Gaithersburg and presented the proclamation to Gaithersburg High School Counselor Maria Garcia. In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Multicultural Affairs Committee is hosting an art exhibition by The Latino Art League (TLAL) of Greater Washington DC through October 28 at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park.
