You want an agent who reflects your values.  What is more important than the integrity of a business professional with whom you share your intimate financial details?  You will recognize the integrity of the people you work with because they will always put your interests first, ahead of their own.  A real estate agent who is highly respected in his community will have a great reputation for service.  When you meet a real estate agent, you can determine his or her level of professionalism by his appearance.  You will soon know if this is someone you can count on.

Does your team follow a Service Pledge to ensure that your company is always represented in a positive, professional manner?  Before you say, "Aren't these items common sense?" let me share that I have witnessed too many "unprofessional conduct" situations from agents.  So the answer is NO, it is NOT common sense, and by putting it in writing, we set clear expectations for all parties in advance.  And better yet, now we can require ACCOUNTABILITY.

As a real estate agent, you’re a professional salesperson.  With the emphasis on “professional”.  And the organizations with which you affiliate yourself reflect your professionalism.  So why join an association?  The first reasons are credibility and reputation.  By joining the professional association, others can affiliate you with somebody or an organization that’s bigger than you, that might be nationwide or worldwide and already have a great reputation.  By joining an organization with a great reputation, you’re going to get good reputation as well.  Also it makes you more credible because you’re with somebody that is recognizable.

Don't you just hate it when someone posts slander or gossip about you in an online public forum?  Well, if they're professionals, they shouldn't.  Why?
Because professionals have the courtesy to approach others directly.  Professionals, like us ActiveRain members, don't back-bite, gossip, slander, act passive/agressive, be a "sissy" by not confronting people, or whatever you want to call it.
So what do you do when you have an issue with an ActiveRain member or a colleague?  How should you vent your complaint?
