Today was my son's graduation open house. It was a great party - friends, relatives, good food, memories and fun. Now on to "Real Life"... He has finished high school and simultaneously completed a year of college, as well as his RE licensing classes. He loves real estate. He just got back from a missions trip to India. It's time to decide what he will do. I know how I feel about it... What would you tell a young person embarking on a real estate career in our economic times? … (7 comments)

It's excusable/understandable for a new agent to absolutely knock themselves out helping others in the quest for new business. A heart to serve is what has made our company great and makes an agent stand out! However, learning how to respect yourself and your time is the foundation for others to respect you. All you have is your time. Guard it - no one else will do it for you. It will help to put these effective methods into your real estate practice.
