Sometimes when we think about sexual abuse...we think we don't know anyone who has experienced it....but that may not be the case. Almost one in five women and one in 71 men have, at some point in their lives experienced rape or attempted rape. Statistics don't reflect those numbers because 63% of sexual assaults are never reported. We know that 8 out of 10 victims knew their attacker.
