teri barton: Calling All Art Lovers in Pasadena, CA - 10/07/15 08:19 AM
One thing I love about Pasadena is its art culture. Between all of the historical, fun, and culturally diverse events in this one of a kind city, there is truly so much to see and do.  As a self-proclaimed photographer and devoted lover of the arts, I've been eager to post my favorite artistic locations and events that I enjoy!

This Friday (10/7) is the monthly art night in Old Town Pasadena which consists of 21 participating art institutions.  This event, cherished by the art community, is one of the biggest in Pasadena and has a free and very convenient shuttle service that will escort you to your next destination.  Here's a link to the … (1 comments)

teri barton: Pasadena's Green Space - Where is It Going? - 07/30/15 02:42 AM
One thing that I cherish most about Pasadena is its green space. Pasadena has long been loved for its tree lined streets, its gardens and its beautiful natural setting. However, I feel, the once green Pasadena has become crowded with luxury condos and new apartment buildings.  To the developers gaining profits in this area, I pose this question:  Why not add some green space to the new environments you are creating? When is enough, enough?

I recently visited Santa Monica and walked through the serene Tongva Park located across form the Santa Monica Pier on Ocean Blvd.  The park is amidst prime real estate and the congestion … (2 comments)

teri barton: Luxury real estate auctions growing more popular - 11/03/13 04:05 PM
Luxury real estate auctions are becoming increasingly popular for high-end properties that have unique qualities that make them difficult to price  on the market. While real estate auctions have long been common for distressed and foreclosed properties, people are sometimes surprised to learn about luxury real estate auctions. But just as with auctions for rare  art pieces or antiques, luxury real estate auctions allow buyers’ own interest to place a value on the properties, rather than selling conditions in a traditional market.

In some cases, they may even be supporting senior parents and adult children at the same time. We call these people members of the “sandwich generation.”
While you may not have origiinally planned for multigenerational living, it's not all bad news.
