Art Lovers, Saturday, August 8 is an opportunity to select a piece for art for your home or office. Two of my favorite artists, Carter Herrington and Kevin Carpenter, are moving from Dallas to Austin next week. Saturday they are hosting a Blowout Art Sale, beginning at 5:00 P.M. Both Carter and Kevin were finalists in the juried exhibit, "Biennial 2015: Origins in Geometry," sponsored by the MADI Museum of Geometric and MADI Art, in Dallas. One of my favorite Dallas studio art related activities is the North Dallas Artist Studio Tour. Every Spring, the public is invited to visit the studios of local artists. It's an opportunity to visit your favorite artists and meet new favorites. Guests learn about the creative process behind the works of art. This event is a prime opportunity to pick up an interesting piece of art for your home, your office, or a gift. Eighteen studios will be opened to share the work of thirty two artists this year.
