lavender farm: Lavender Fields, Milton, Delaware

I met my dauther in law and 6 year old granddaughter at Lavender Fields yesterday. The farm used to comprise of 100 acres but now is only 5. Ther are many different settings on the five acres to enjoy. There are rows and rows of lavender plants with a multitude of butterflies flitting from one plant to another. There are butterfly gardens, vegetable and flower gardens and a zen garden. I especially wanted to go to Lavender Fields yesterday because the Dahlias are at their peak. Volunteers tend to the dahlias each year encouraging the blooms to become as large as possible. … (1 comments)
