I was just rereading this article from April in the News and Observer that discusses our short supply of homes under $300k and the problems this causes for new home buyers. It's a great article that buyers in our area need to read. Here is the inventory right now in Cary, Apex, Fuquay Varina and Holly Springs for single family homes under $300k... Ting, a division of Tucows Inc., hinted this summer that parts of the Triangle were under consideration for its gigabit download speeds (1,000 Mbps download and upload speed). On Tuesday, the company confirmed it is assessing demand in Holly Springs, with the intention to begin construction as soon as the first half of next year. Holly Springs is an organized community that planned ahead to get fiber Internet access for its tech-savvy citizens; a partial fiber network already exists in the town. The town-owned fiber infrastructure is a 13-mile network that was completed in mid-2014 and cost about $1.5 million. Also, Holly Springs has promised to make
