Dont Miss This weeks Newport Harbor Christmas Boat Parade This year's parade event started last night and will extend thorough Sunday night. It is a short season but well worth seeing. Get your dinner reservations, sit on bar stools or just stand along the harbor and watch the beautiful lite parade. Do like we did and rent an electric boat and just sit on the side lines while they pass you, or go just late enough to see all the boats lite up but not traveling yet It is a great tradition we have. When her son, Balder, dreamed of his death, Frigga rushed about seeking promises that her son would not die. Last Friday night was the first Friday of December. Every year they close off Forest Ave which is the main shopping avenue in Laguna Beach from auto traffic and open to foot traffic. All the shops stay open late and offer snacks and wine You can walk thru all the shops, eat drink and be merry. Its like a street party in Laguna. Everyone is laughing and smiling and talking. Adams Elementary children have started a new Club called "Pay It Forward"They collected money from recycling plastic bottles on campus; this alone would help the envirorment; then they took their savings and bought 4 gift cards each for $25.00and they stood at the Costa Mesa Target store last Thursday (Christmas Eve) and radomly chose 4 shopers and gave them a gift card with a request that the person receiving the card do something nice for 3 other people that day.
