Here we are at the end of the year. I want to wish all the best of holiday cheer to you. I have been busy with Titanium, working with home owners to help them remain in their homes by filling in a lot of forms to return to their lenders in hopes of a home mod thru HAMP or HOPE. I am now seeing some near the end of their trial payments and now ready to go into the final part. Well, I told you I would take a couple of photos. Standing outside my office by my car I took this one which is across the causeway in Naples, Maine. It is looking down Long Lake These are ice fishing houses/shacks.Inside they might have a little fire going and a hole in the ice for fishing out of. There are holes bored into the ice around the houses also. This is facing west. This one is of our miniture golf course behind our ERA Today Realty parking lot. Today I have been trying to figure how much snow we will actually have by the time I wake in the morning. I went to work this morning only to find about six inches of snow covering my car. The drive home wasn't bad, till I turned onto the secondary roads. Then I realized they weren't plowed and it would be the true test of my little Ford Focus. Well, I made it home. I thought I would look up Naples, Fl and see if we had some sisterhood between the two places. Well, both sell waterfront, both have shops, both have golf courses and both have fine dining. The differences? Well, one is very cold in the winter while the other is the escape from the northern area of the East Coast. Naples, Fl. has the gulf of Mexico to enjoy the world of water sports. With rates down at great new lows and the $7500 first time buyer rebates available, it's a great time to be finding that home. Our government wants to give the first time buyer up to $7500 cash for purchasing a home for the first time or if you haven't owned in the past three years. What does this mean? When it comes time to file your taxes you will have up to $7500 given to you. If you have $2000 owed to the IRS then it will mean you won't owe but will receive a check up to$5500 back. After reading the papers and listening to the different news stations I wonder what is going to happen this coming winter. Some of the local towns are wondering how they will be able to help their residents get through the winter with the costs of fuel being high. Many people are disabled, on a fixed income, elderly, single parents with children under the age of two, or newly unemployed. Here is a view of Long Lake in Naples, Maine. There will be a winter carnival coming this February to the lake and there will be food, snow mobile exhibitions, snow mobile races, etc. What a great reason to come and see this great area.
