THE CITY OF MELISSA SETS CANDIDATE ORIENTATION


The City of Melissa will hold a Candidate Orientation on Monday, January 24th at 6:30pm at the City Hall.  This offers an opportunity to brief potential City Council Candidates and the general public about election process before the election begins.  This event will give general information about what the processes are and what to expect during the elections.

TX-DOT HAS NOTIFIED THE CITY OF MELISSA THAT HWY 5 BETWEEN MC KINNEY AND MELISSA WILL BE CLOSED FOR CONTRUCTION BETWEEN 9:00 AM TO 3:00 PM ON DECEMBER 16TH.
MANY TRAVEL THIS HIGHWAY SO BE PREPARED FOR DETOURS AND A DELAY IN TRAFFIC.  FOR MORE INFORMATION, VISIT TX-DOT WEBSITE.

      THIS SATURDAY MELISSA WILL HOLD IT'S ANNUAL CHRISTMAS FESTIVITIES!  IT'S A FUN EVENT FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY PLUS IT'S FREE!
CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING:  THE CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING WILL BE AT BOB MILLER PARK THAT EVENING.  WE WILL SING CHRISTMAS CAROLS ALONG WITH DRINKING HOT CHOCOLATE AND HOT CIDER TO KEEP WARM.  DON'T FORGET TO BRING YOUR CAMERAS BECAUSE MRS. CLAUS WILL BE THERE!
PARADE AND HOLIDAY BAZAAR:  SATURDAY MORNING WE WILL HAVE THE CHRISTMAS PARADE THAT IS BEING HOSTED BY THE MELISSA ARE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.  AFTER THE PARADE THERE WILL BE A HOLIDAY CRAFT BAZAAR WHERE YOU CAN PURCHASE … (2 comments)

         CITY OF MELISSA HOLIDAY HOURS
City offices will close at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24th and will be closed on Thursday, November 25th and Friday, November 26th in honor of Thanksgiving.
The Library will be closed at the same time but will also not be open on Saturday, November 27th either.
All business hours will resume on Monday, November 29th.
