Guilford County Schools, along with Rice Toyota, will host the 9th annual “Cool to Be Smart” event this Sunday, July 31st at 2:00 p.m. at the Greensboro Coliseum.

nc schools: Greensboro (Guilford County Schools) Announces Snow Make-Up Days - 12/20/10 05:38 AM
Attention Guilford County students and parents!  Guilford County Schools, which includes schools in Greensboro, High Point, Jamestown, Oak Ridge, Summerfield and areas throughout the Triad, has announced student make-up days for the two days when school was closed last week due to the ice and snow. 
Although most children were thrilled to have last Thursday and Friday off, it will mean that they have to return to school earlier from winter break.  School will now be in session on Monday, January 3.  The other make up day is scheduled for Friday, February 25.  These were originally scheduled as teacher work days.

Guilford County Schools (GCS) is the third largest school district in North Carolina with 71,000 students at 120 schools.  GCS serves students in Greensboro, High Point, Jamestown and throughout the county of Guilford County.  In addition to our excellent traditional schools, GCS has been very innovative in implementing new programs and schools.  The public school system offers a wide-variety of education experiences.
