According to the first-ever United States Peace Index, created by the Institute for Economics and Peace Institute,. Rhode Island ranks as the 8th most peaceful state in the country.  Neighboring Massachusetts ranks a notch higher, at number 7.
I am a native born Rhode Islander and ♥ this state and its capital PROVIDENCE. I grew up in East Providence and travelled by bus frequently to the City of Providence to shop, eat and go to the movies and theater.

Saturday, NOVEMBER 10, 1973.

 I was going to Rhode Island College, working on my Masters in Education. I actually carried this child to receive my degree on June 10, 1973 .
It was Friday, November 9th about 5:30pm and I was getting sharp pangs. I felt I should check it out and headed to St Joseph's Hospital in Providence.
