Small Miracles, Safer Homes = WARM. We've all seen them. Homes with bad windows, rotting window frames, unsafe entrances. Homes that families live in, but simply do not have the funds to repair. Especially in today's economy. Just putting food on the table is a struggle for many families, repairing windows/frames, floors, roofs -- that's a luxury many can't afford. Enter WARM. Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministry has been helping local families rebuild/repair substandard homes and restore hope in Wilmington, NC since 1996. Yesterday was a very special day for our girls as they joined in the festivities at the Marsh Oaks Halloween Extravaganza. There were Games, Crafts & Hayrides!!!
Parents joined together to decorate the Marsh Oaks Clubhouse and Playground for a Spooktacular Evening of fun and food.
Prizes were awarded for the Scariest Food and for the Costume Contest! There were wonderful donations from Tutus for Tots, Perfectly Frosted Cupcakes, McKenzie Baker Interiors, Mandi's Ice Cream, Kornerstone, Wendy's, Jersey Mikes and from the local kitchens of Marsh Oaks' crafty parents!

Had the opportunity to take some Client's to lunch today and decided to try something new. So we ventured about 10 minutes outside of Wrightsville Beach, NC and ended up at Flaming Amy's Burrito Barn. I am so glad we did! YUM! I really enjoyed the salsa bar! Double YUM! Today was Spirit Day 2010 at Ogden Elementary in Wilmington NC. While all of our local schools are special, this one is especially "special" to me because both of my granddaughters attend school there. Ogden has been trying to raise funds to update/upgrade their playground and add a walking path for students and members of the community to utilize. Today, the students at Ogden Elementary were treated to a visit from some very special people involved with the Carolina Panthers. The Saga Continues . . . went to place the finishing touches on the vacant listing we're staging in Wilmington, NC. This home has had the kitchen and baths completely updated. There is fresh paint and carpet along with the new hardwood floors and light fixtures. All very modern, clean and sleek in appearance. My Assistant and I got permission from the Owner to paint the very dated, dirty, ugly brick fireplace white. She was very hesitant at first.
