great plains multiple listing service: Omaha MLS absorbs Fremont MLS

On November 28, 2008 Fremont MLS was merged into the Omaha Area Board of Realtors' Great Plains MLS. As a result the Omaha MLS will now cover a much broader area of Eastern Nebraska. I would like to welcome all of the Realtors in Fremont to our MLS. I hope this will create more sales opportunities for everyone and benefit our clients with greater exposure resulting in quicker sales.

Time for our monthly update of the Omaha real estate market. From looking at the data below in September there were only slightly fewer closed sales than in August (Omaha Real Estate Market - August, 2008). There is an 8.6 month supply of homes for sale. This is a slight drop from last month as a result of many sellers taking their homes off of the market. As we move closer to the winter the number of homes for sale will continue to decrease but soon the number of sales will as well. The net result will be longer market times. … (1 comments)
