omaha: Omaha's Mayor Mike Fahey makes plans for Street Cars and Light Rail System

Omaha' mayor, Mike Fahey, looks to the future of Omaha beyond his term. While Mayor Fahey is considering plans for a downtown streetcar in Omaha, he is also looking down the road at a light rail system. The system would go from Omaha to smaller cities west of Omaha and on to Lincoln connecting the cities and offering an easy means of transportation. Such plans would not take place while Mayor Fahey is in office as his term is over in June of 2009.

omaha: Tornado Hits Omaha, NE

Saturday night a tornado touched down in Omaha, NE doing damage to a number of homes. In fact some of the homes affected were within blocks of my own. There were numerous downed trees and privacy fences. The car wash at 144th & Harrison St. had the roof completely torn off. Many homes suffered severe damage.
The areas hit the hardest were the Millard Highland and Discovery subdivisions. In both subdivisions I have houses listed and the houses are vacant - one of the sellers lives out of state. In an effort to provided outstanding service to my clients I checked … (0 comments)

I want to thank Tim Miers who is the Trumm Team's buyer agent. Yesterday the sale of my listing at 3335 Summit St. in the Florence Field subdivision of northeast Omaha closed. It sold in only six days. The amount and quality of marketing that we do is responsible for bringing in many interested buyers very quickly but without a buyer agent like Tim working for me I would not have the time to handle all of the business that comes my way. I had previously posted a blog titled Brokerage in Omaha not Paying Agents what they Advertise in the MLS. I received a call from my broker today informing me that the company that had this policy has decided to change their ways. They are now going to pay all co-operating agents the commission that is advertised in the MLS. While I did not mention the name of the company in my original post, I have still removed the post.
