At Redesign Etc., we offer furniture packages for vacant homes. We have our own inventory for unoccupied homes and house them in an air conditioned commercial building. Our furniture is kept in a smoke and pet free environment. Not in a garage or dusty, humid warehouse. We also carry accessories, props, and everything needed to completely stage a house.
We also offer accessory only staging. Our items are not from flea market finds, garage sales, or someones attic. We offer new updated merchandise, with full groupings of furniture.

furniture: Air Duct Cleaning...Look At What It Did!

When I went to de-stage this property, was I suprised when I walked into a "Dust Bowl". I didn't know that the ducts were going to be cleaned after the staging. As you can see the dust was quite thick, and was everywhere. Yet, another lesson for stagers and homeowners when you get this service done. This was obviously not done properly. But now I will have to have linens and furnitiure cleaned as to not saturate through the materials.

This was a one-story contemporary that belonged to a bachelor that decided to move closer to downtown, that seems to be the trend. It had quite a bit of space, but as you can see, it needed some work. He was great and did everything I advised him to do. It took a while, because of his schedule, but his work paid off. I heard of a man that made a cross country move and had gone online to find a "great deal" on a mover. When the movers finally arrived at his new residence they forcefully told him they needed an extra $5,000 for his furiture and personal belongings. The man called the police and they told him it was a civil not a criminal matter.

These are the rooms that I did for the ABC Special on Local Houston KTRK Channel 13 for Redesigning Your Room. The owners were not selling, but wanted a new look. There were too many elements going on in both rooms. Too many colors, patterns, flowers, pottery collection, no clear focal point, and a non-functional furniture arrangement. After shopping her home I was able to de-clutter, group things together, pull things into areas that made it cohesive. The room now has a focal point, and is a calmer space.

Finally...we are getting some stores down on this side of Houston, still not the shopping or even close as as counterpart cities, but we are getting there. Cost Plus Market, an exotic, international and worldly kinda store has finally made it here and is open, they have some unusual things, including Food items, Furniture, Window treatments, Rugs, Home decor, Garden items, Bed & Bath, Kitchen and Tabletop, Jewelry, Toys and even something for Fido.
