BUILDERS SQUARING OFF SERIES: The kids have already started back to school, the First Time First Time Homebuyers Tax Credit has come and gone, except for some select military personnel ewturning from deployment. It been a few months since my initial post identifying Walton Acres/Walton Farms/Walton Hills as a key new construction battleground between Faircloth Homebuilders and Crown/Pillon communities. This is a family friendly neighborhood desired by many professionals, and military members due to its close proximity to Fort Gordon , located just 2 miles outside Gate 5. Walton Acres subdivison has been identified as key terrain. It has enjoyed a resurgence as Faircloth Homes emerged as the premier builder in 2009. They reigned supreme, offering large estate homes ranging from @ 3,200- 3,800 sq ft @ $65/sq ft. For the more budget conscious they began offering a smaller scale home @ 2500 sq ft for $174,900. Last month Crown added Walton Farms and Elderberry as their newest Communities. These two builders will now be in direct competition. It should be extremely interesting as Crown tries to gain competitive advantage over Faircloth Homes in this Family Community located 3 minutes from Ft. Gordon. All in all it (3 comments)
