Alaska Real Estate Market Statistics Below is a table showing Alaska's weekly market activity by each individual town. Anchorage which is Alaska's largest city shows that we currenlty have 371 homes on the market, a total of 410 that were active during the week with 79 listings being new. 51 homes pended and 36 homes closed. That is quite a bit of activity between March 29 and April 4th.

Our market center's Total Market Overview that was published February 7, 2012 shows that Anchorage, Alaska single family market is still going strong. The average days on market of sold home is only 73 days. The average days on market of homes that are still active (due to being over price, condition, location etc..) is 118 days.

According to Homestate Mortgage, you can get a 30 Year Fixed Conventional Mortgage at 4.125%.. I doubt we'll see interest rates go any lower than this on a 30 year Fixed Conventional Mortgage.

Anchorage Real Estate Market Update During the period of September 25, 2010 to October 1, 2010, Anchorage had 905 Active Properties on the Alaska MLS, 50 of which were New Listings, 38 pended listings, and 42 property listings that closed and recorded. Anchorage currently has 833 Active Listings. Because we are haded into winter, I am anticipating a decline in active Residntial listings... which means that this is a Great time to put a home on the market, being as there would be less competition than in the summer months. And yes, people do buy houses during the Winter. =)
