If you are looking to rent a property, please be advised of the latest scam. It seems that Scam Artists, Crooks and Thieves are now advertising rentals in Craigslist and other forms of media. There is just one problem! They don't own the property! Apparently, they are posting pictures of homes that are vacant and for sale. They steal the pictures of the property and post the property to Craigslist or the newspaper etc. They even go so far as to meet with prospective renters and show them around. If you are a seller of a home or property, you should know about Buyer's Remorse. This is when a buyer submits an offer on a property, gets accepted and then they get cold feet and decide to back out of the contract. To start, offers that you receive should have a good initial deposit. Without a strong initial deposit your risk of someone encountering Buyer's Remorse and leaving you high and dry has increased dramatically. Try to get at least 5% down or more. The more the better.
