It's about that time of day that thoughts turn to lunch; where shall it be today? We have the usual fast food places but what about a "real" restaurant. Where they give you a menu & silverware & even sweet tea?
Humble City Cafe is located in downtown Humble, on the corner of Main & Avenue A. It opened in July of 1995 and has been serving delicious food ever since. You can enjoy a daily special, salad, burger, sandwich - even a vegetable plate. And every meal begins with a skillet of cornbread & cinnamon butter hot from the oven. While dining, you may be serenaded by the owner of the cafe, Tom Ott. He enjoys singing a patriotic song or hymn, as well as the traditional "Happy Birthday" for patrons.
Well, today is Wednesday, which I believe is Chicken Pot Pie day. Maybe with a side of fried okra. Any takers?
