Photo by Arlette Woodard accompained by Dena Stevens who couldn't get her camera out fast enough. This is an unusual site in Southern Colorado yet, I've seen two Pheasants this week.  Pheasant are ususally seen further East in the grasslands of Pueblo County. This picture was taken on 9th Street Penrose Colorado Fremont County.

Hi Dena, I guess the pheasants are checking out the area - maybe they heard it was a great place to live :-)

Dena, I haven't seen a pheasant since my grandfather brought one home, for dinner.  I prefer them alive thank you very much!  And thanks for the picture, beautiful!

No I didn't chase him down, but glad Arlette got him with her camera. He was stopping traffic, such as it is, in Penrose. I'll have to go back to the same area and see if there are any more. Wonder what the chicks look like?
