Friendswood High school renovation and expansion
"Renovations are coming to Friendswood High School. Friendswood ISD allocated a total of $30 million to add approximately 80,000 square feet of space to the school."
- Approximately $23 million will be used to add the following:
- A two-story entrance building that will house the attendance office, a new library and the offices of assistant principals, counselors, registrar and bookkeeper
- 20 classrooms, two large laboratories and four small laboratories in the front of the science wing
- Kitchen space in the cafeteria, along with more student seating
- 200 new parking spaces
In addition, $7 million has been earmarked for a new natatorium, featuring a 25-yard pool with one- and three-meter diving boards. Plus, there will be seating for 202 participants and 207 spectators.
