Some days you sigh...

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Marketing 4 Realtors

As a parent, have you ever noticed that some days you just have to sigh.  And I don't mean a light, airy little sigh.  I mean that great big SIGGGGGGHHHHHH!

Lots of love hereWhy?  Lots of reasons.  The kids were fighting all day.  The washer decided to spill water all over the basement floor.  The oven decided it will no longer preheat.  The dishwasher leaks water all over the kitchen floor.  One of the kids got into the bathroom, turned on the faucet in the tub and left it running (spilling water all over the bathroom floor as the tub overflowed).  Lots of reasons.

Then, the end of the day comes and you sigh.  Not that frustrated, aggravated, I-have-to-deal-with-yet-another-crisis sigh.  The sigh of relief.  The sigh of contentedness.

Why?  Mainly because one (or more) of your kids comes in and says the magic words:  "I love you, Mama."  Everything else is forgotten.  Everything else melts away.

Yep.  That does it.

SIGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!

AHHH!  How cute and oh, so TRUE!  Those magic words always seem to do the trick!  But, shhh...don't let them know that when they're teens--they'll try to do that manipulation thing!  My youngest is a PRO at that and it drives my hubby NUTS!

Have a great Sunday...sigh...  :-)

Our children are our biggest frustration at times but they are always our biggest joy.  Sigh I wish mine were still this young then I would not be sighing because one of them went away and forgot to check in and another is getting her permit next week.  Have a great Sunday Renae

Renae, I never had children so I can't even understand how you do all you do on a 'normal' day with children, let alone on a 'bad' day. My Cowgirl hat is off to you dear.

I sincerely chuckled at Susie's comment just above ..... These are precious words " I love you Mamma" .... from the time they first say it

My wise old grandmother had three four-letter words that he was fond of:

  1. LOVE
  2. FREE
  3. HELP

She always told me that if I found a job where I loved to provide free help, I would also find a career that paid me well.

Debe - Thanks for the tip!  I'll try really hard not to give our 14 y.o. any ammunition to use against us!

I'm glad you liked it, Lynda!  Feel free to plagarize me if you'd like!  heehee

You know it, Linda! I think my daughter is starting to catch on though. She now has this way of telling me she loves me which makes me always feel that something else is coming around the corner! hahahah

I don't know how you do it, Paddy.  My oldest asked if there was any way we would consider letting him get his permit now.  Uh, not a chance!  But I was oh-so-proud at the Honor Roll report card he brought home last grading period!

It's really hard not to smile at them, Sheldon.  I'm pretty sure they'll try to use that against us in years to come.

Susie, I showed my daughter some pictures from your website once and she now says she wants to be a cowgirl like the lady on the computer.  That would be you.  So you've already left a lasting impression and she doesn't even know you!  So MY hat is off to YOU!

My baby boy turned 3 years old yesterday, Marilyn, and it still gets me every time he cuddles and tells me he loves me.

Thanks for that, Russel.  I think my "job" of being a mom is the best one in the world!
