The last week has been full of surprises for me. My car had to be serviced. My son wrecked his car. My air conditioning went out upstairs, I lost power for awhile over the weekend.
They built a new house next door on a not so great lot that they had to be very creative with. Their creativity has posed many problems with the rest of us and our power, cable, atc. My power is temporarily fixed with a cable(awaiting enigineers to come out with a solution).
After dealing with the other issues, I found a roof leak upstairs and the roof is only 2 years old. To make things even better, as I was checking the ceiling for moisture, my fingers went right through the sheetrock. I now have a beautiful hole to go along with the discoloration on the ceiling.
The customer service with the vehicles was fantastic. Perry Brothers and Southern Pines Body Shop really know how to take care of their customers. My air conditioning guy was 3 hours late showing up. I have now been waiting 6 hours for the roofer to show up.
As I have sat here waiting, I have had plenty of time to think about the importance of customer service. It is imperative that if you are going to be working with the public that you are prompt and committed. As a real estate professional, I pride myself on my commitment to customer service. I am proud to say that as far as I know, I have never left a client wondering if I was going to call or show up. I am a true believer in there being a lesson to learn in whatever comes your way. The one BIG lesson that I have taken away from my endeavors this week, is the true value of customer service and being reminded of what it feels to be on the other side. I will strive even harder to provide my customers with the security they need in my services.
Now, off to a great new week!
