Hello everyone...I am currently using Rent Manager software for property management and have had a complaint from a client their reports esspecially the Owner Statements are very difficult to read. I was wondering if anyone has tried Buildium and what they think of it. I have used Rent Manager on and off for 3 years and I like it, but I do agree the statements are not the best. I found Buildium's web site and I am currently using the trial period to test it out and so far I like it but it is a lot of work starting over with a new program so I thought I would see what others think of it before taking the plunge. Sometimes it is difficult to determine if issues will arise in a 15 day trial.
Hi Chastity, try TReXGlobal's Property Management Software. It's super easy, and you'll be up and running in just a few minutes.
Let me know what you think!
Hi Chastity,
I work for AppFolio - we offer a web-based property management software. One of our customers, Bob Machado from Homepointe Software is very active in the ActiveRain community and he posted a few reasons why he selected AppFolio Property Manager here - http://activerain.com/blogsview/1183849/homepointe-installs-appfolio-software
Thanks
I used it for a season before i took the opportunity to convert my records. I did not find many faults with it.. just too busy to switch, and was being billed.... I have a credit with them if i plan to return.
I have used Rent Manager for three years and am thrilled with it. I have never had a complaint about the statements, and there are options to print a detailed statement if you wish, and although I've not done it, I believe that one can customize their statement. Plus, their tech support rocks!
I use PROMAS because I control the statements and cash flow/financial information that is provided to clients, etc....not some accountant's idea of what my clients need.....the simpler the better.....PROMAS does have an add on work order module that shows on owner statements AND tenant information with lease end date AND security deposit held....it also links with documents like leases, etc that are relative to the tenant, owner and property which is helpful
As many other have, I've tried out Buildium. In fact, as a landlord I tried them out as well as most of the others many years ago and found they all were missing the ease of use I needed. I didn't want to have to fly away to get trained on a system that *should* be as simple as quicken. At that point we created our own and focused on simplicity first, power second and opened it up to the rest of the world about 2 years ago. The product has since emerged as the #2 online property management software (as far as popularity) right behind Buildium. If you haven't settled for another, try out Rentec Direct's landlord software.
What did you choose . And Richard are you still happy with Rent Manager ? I am thinking of leaving but I know the grass is not always greener on the otherside of the street. I am thinking about AppFolio
