Feedback from showings

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

Now, I certainly don't always give automatic feedback to other Realtors on showings, but I know I certainly like getting the calls to tell me what their customers thought.

Wouldn't that be great if when we showed a house, we went ahead and called the selling Realtor and gave them the information so they could update their sellers without the selling Realtor having to call or email and get that.

Sure, sometimes it is better to have that info in an email, with sellers you tell, "well your house smells because of the pets", but they don't believe you as that being the reason.  Written info from other Realtors can sometimes convince them we don't make this stuff up.

I have left forms for buyers and/or their Realtors to provide this written feedback directly for the sellers to see when they return home, but again, it's not always filled out.  I think in our environment today that feedback for the seller is imperative, so let's all try and make a better effort to give our fellow Realtors the info they need to help their sellers.

yes that and $5 will get you a good cup of coffee at Starbucks, HAHA I just don't think people see it as important anymore. I send over three request and phone 3 times and luck if I get 1 out of 5 to respond. I carry thank you notes and write a short note to the seller thanking them, I start every note with "Please call your agent and let them know that I left this note and thank as well for me for all their hard work".

Angie - interesting idea about calling the listing agent as soon as you show a home but the challenge with that is usually the buyers are in the car with me and thats valuable time talking with them and not placing phone calls.  I always appreciate the feedback as a listing agent but sometimes when i'm showing a lot the ole email inbox sure can fill up fast!

I only call the LA immediatly if there is an issue with the property (property unsecured, no access to the property, an emergancy situation).  I would not want an immediate call telling me my property stinks, its ugly etc.  I prefer the feedback form for that, its something I can take to seller and show them other peoples opinions.
