Late last week, Santa Cruz County was issued a tsunami warning following the quakes in Indonesia/Samoa. The beaches were closed for the day. These pictures were taken in the early evening, just before sunset on 18th Avenue, overlooking Santa Maria's beach. I believe that might be Jupiter in the picture below.
Deborah, Thankfully the beach looks calm and beautiful. It must have been frightening to have gotten a Tsunami warning.....
Hi Carole: Luckily, I did not even hear about it until that evening when my friend and I took a walk and I took these pictures! I feel so bad for all of the people who suffered and are suffering.
Deborah: Santa Cruz has some breathtaking views. A brilliant beach sunset is always a welcome sight for me.
Did you have another tsunami warning last weekend? We did over here, but not much happened in the way of waves.
