The Palos Verdes High Boys Cross Country Team won the Division III State Finals Championshipyesterday. The Palos Verdes boys claimed their first state title Saturday by recording a Division III team time record for the second straight week. The team also qualified for for Nike Team Nationals next Saturday in Portland. Jonah Diaz led the time with a third place finish. Other team members included Chase Zukerman with a 19th place , Peter Cohen in 20th place, Justin Unno finished 22nd, and acob Paulson closed it out for Palos Verdes for a second straight week with a 31st-place finish.

Palos Verdes has enjoyed a banner season. It won the Nike Pre-Team Nationals in Portland. It swept all three Bay League races - including scoring a perfect 15 at the Bay League finals. And now it set Division III team time records at CIF and state.
